Make Your Annual Giving Statement More than Dates and Numbers

Happy New Year! I hope each of you had a great holiday season. Now that we have arrived in 2017 and the holiday celebrations are over, most church staff members are back in the swing of things. The exception being the church’s Business Administrator/Executive Pastor who was back to reality right after the clock struck midnight. This is because we are only a few weeks away from the deadline for annual statements, which legally must be sent by January 30th. These statements let each contributor in your church know his or her exact charitable contribution in 2016.

While technically the letter does not need to contain anything more than dates and numbers, it is important to use this opportunity to thank your givers and explain to them the impact of their gifts. This letter is an opportunity to normalize the giving conversation in your church. This is done by celebrating, building trust, and casting vision through an excellent annual giving statement. But what are the best ways to go about this?

Generis has created a free eBook with everything you need to know about mailing your church annual giving statements. This resource will provide you with sample annual & impact reports, the best practice mailing techniques, sample cover letters, as well as pre-statement & announcement video ideas. You can access this powerful resource by clicking here or on the image below.

Inspire and inform your givers this year. Don’t miss the opportunity to let them see how their gifts truly matter. If I can be of any help along the way, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
