It is very simple to answer the question “Alan, what is the most important component of a successful capital campaign?”
The answer is “A clear, concise and compelling vision that is easily connected to the project and how the project will help your church transform lives for Jesus Christ.”
It truly is that easy.
- If you can’t quickly and easily articulate the vision of the church to anyone that asks, your campaign is going to be very limited in its success.
- If you can’t quickly and easily connect the vision of the church with the project you are raising money for, your campaign is going to be very limited in its success.
It truly is that simple.
Every hurdle and obstacle I have seen churches deal with during campaigns always comes back to the vision of the church and how it is connected to the project.
So, if you are planning a capital campaign within the next three years you need to ensure the vision of the church is clear, concise and compelling at least 12 months prior to contacting me to help you with a generosity intitiative.
